pinups for peace

What does every beauty queen want? World peace.

Since the dawn of time, the promise of our charms has been used to urge our men into battle. We are called up to rally behind our troops, and to give the boys something to take their minds off their job: - WAR.
Those times are over. From today, we are: P I N U P S F O R P E A C E.

climate activism

For 7 years I worked closely with Campaign Against Climate Change (CACC) creating many scenarios, props and characters which featured in the international press, and helping them establish an annual Climate March - which takes place each December.

House of Fairy Tales

We love what we wear. Memories of items worn, loved and long lost are gathered by the mermaid in her secret grotto, underneath the arches, and exchanged for sea creatures and stories of her own.

The vaults at Shunt allowed for a complete installation with a clam shell for Lucy to sit in and a drift of candlewick and terry cloth scraps from which simple anemones and starfish were sewn. The lighting projectors and rechargeable pebble lights were sourced from Mathmos.

vintage made do and mend

Hosted at 1940’s teahouse Time for Tea, this series of workshops explored vintage style through the wardrobe, personalities and performances of stars such as Mae West and Marilyn Monroe.

As a designer and trained singer and performer I was interested in how I could use these skills to make learning about vintage fashion and the art of remaking and mending clothing more engaging and fun. The costumes and vocal performances were satisfying to develop, and sustaining the characters though the evening was challenging too.
